We are currently in mid-winter madness, but no matter the time of year, our dedication to our Devon Rex cats goes far beyond the kitten nursery. Operating an accredited cattery involves absolute responsibility for our lines, which includes occasionally intervening to ensure our cats are placed in optimal environments that suit their individual personalities.

We currently have two young males seeking committed homes. With a deep understanding of their distinct temperaments, we are being incredibly intentional about matching them with the most suitable households.

The Reality of the Devon Rex Personality

The thing about Apokalypt Devon Rex cats is that they are incredibly well-balanced. That is, well-balanced in their true Devon Rex personality. They are velcro, they smell like an old boot, they are relentless in their goals, and they walk with purpose. They are an active cat that requires adequate stimulation and hygiene maintenance.

Folks: If you are concerned about being "over-stimulated" or "touched-out" by a clingy cat—yes, Devons can do this, they'd prefer to live INSIDE your skin—this is why people love them, and find them therapeutic in this way.
"Do we look pretty from below?"

You may prefer an "admire only" type of cat. In which case, I'd suggest a Selkirk Rex instead though they are not hypoallergenic. If, however, you know and love the true Devon chaos, one of these boys might be your perfect match:

Apokalypt Alfie
Apokalypt Alfie

Alfie – The Independent Gentleman

  • Details: 16 month old male, neutered

  • Colour/Pattern: Cream classic tabby bicolour

  • Availability: Ready now, at our home in Whangarei

Alfie is a stunning young adult with a classic pixie appearance and a distinctly Devon personality. Known as a "cat on his own terms," he is independent, confident, and prefers to determine exactly when he desires affection. Alfie is ideal for a stable, relaxed household that values a cat with a strong, dignified character who enjoys companionship without requiring constant reassurance.

Placement Note: Alfie is being placed in a separate home from his brother, Stewie. To allow Alfie to thrive independently, he requires a calm, structured environment where he can be the focal point without reinforcing old habits or owner anxiety.

Apokalypt Stewie
Apokalypt Stewie

Stewie – The Devoted Shadow

  • Details: 16 month old male, neutered

  • Colour/Pattern: Solid white

  • Availability: Ready now, at our home in Whangarei

Stewie complements Alfie's independence with his own beautifully sensitive nature. As a classic "velcro" Devon, he thrives entirely on human interaction. He is incredibly affectionate and seeks constant companionship. If you desire a deeply loyal companion who will be your constant presence, Stewie is the perfect choice. Stewie has an inconsistent coat that may not thicken further and needs protection from the sun.

Placement Note: Like his brother, Stewie is being placed individually. He will flourish in a stable, confident home where people are frequently present to provide the reassurance and love he seeks.

How to Enquire

As an NZCF Accredited Breeder, both boys come fully vetted, microchipped, desexed, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

If you are currently on our waitlist and feel you have the stable, confident environment required to let Alfie or Stewie truly thrive, please contact us directly so we can discuss a lifestyle match.
